Schwab
Low cost brokerage and banking services.
Pros
- $0 trading for stocks and ETFs
- Unlimited ATM fee rebates
- Cashback automatically deposited into Fidelity account.
Cons
- Doesn't support fractional shares.
- Can only transfer money between investment and checking accounts during business hours of 7am-7pm.
Vanguard
One of the oldest fund providers who pioneering index based investing. Many Bogleheads swear by it, though I find its customer services and website to be patchy.
Pros
- Extremely cheap Funds and ETFs
- $0 trading for stocks and ETFs.
- Good for managing corporation retirement plans.
Cons
- Variable to poor customer service.
Merrill Edge
Self directed brokerage from Bank of America.
Pros
- $0 trading for stocks and ETFs if have a large enough balance.
- Can be used to maintain Platinum status at Bank of America without having a large cash balance.
Cons
- Doesn't support fractional shares.
